Welcome to the forum Sir Emmms2004. IMO .40 caliber has a more manageable recoil than .45 and offers good stopping power as well. But, personally I still prefer the .45 because it has been around for quite a long time and is a proven round. Whatever your choice is, I'm sure you won't go wrong because it's an Armscor. For engraving maybe you could try Col. Bayang.

Hello, Sir!
Torned between .40S&Ws or .45ACPs? First, some questions for your questions. What do you intend to do with your soon-to-be FA? Do you plan to engage in shooting competitions in the near future? Or, you just want to have something for defense?
.45s’ has the reputation of being a “man-stopper”, proven by time. Basically, it was designed to be as such. This caliber is “BIG but slow”.
On the other side, .40S&Ws’ bullet trajectory is a lot more “flatter” than any other caliber in todays’ configurations. It boast of a spin-drift rate of about 2.5 times more than the .45 has. High-velocity, that is.
Again, shooting experts will keep on reiterating “SHOT PLACEMENT! SHOT PLACEMENT! & SHOT PLACEMENT!”. While it (placement) is true, let me throw a question even a Sixth-grader will heave a sigh for an answer – IF YOU ARE TO BE HIT BY BOTH CALIBERS ON THE VERY SAME SPOT OF YOUR BODY, WHICH DO YOU THINK WILL CREATE MORE DAMAGE? THE BIGGER OR THE smaller PUNCH?

bro hydra said it all. my vote goes to the .45acp...
you can also go to a firing range and rent pistols in both calibers to make up your mind. the weapon usually chooses the warrior.

Credits to Sir HydraShok as always! I agree with Sir Luckyjo04102, try out the 2 calibers in a firing range and justify which one works/manageable for you. I leave you the liberty to choose po but In my opinion, go for the .45 Caliber Sir Emmms2004 (The bigger the hole, the more damage u can inflict on a bad guy)

By the way Welcome to the forums Sir Emmms2004
P.S.
If you have already chosen what caliber you want, and I think this applies to all of us shooters regardless of what caliber we use.
Just:
1. Learn how to use your weapon effectively.
and
2. Learn how to hit what you aim at.
as what I have said in my signature
Good Day!

May ramp ang barrel ang .40 cal in order to support the higher pressure of this bullet.

Sir Echofox, In my opinion, mas mkakamura po ata kayo kung ittry nio muna ung Hogue Wrap-Around grip. This makes your grip tighter on the gun and it helps lessen the recoil. Tried and tested ko npo kc sa 1911-A1 .45 Caliber Compact Size Practical Series, kaya what more kung naka .40 FSPS pa kau Yun nga lng mas magiging makapal ang grip ng gun nyo pero other than that, I do not see any other disadvantage of Hogue Wrap-Around grip. Just my 2 cents Sir. Good Day.

Agree ako kay Bro Christian sir..practice more nalang po on managing recoil than try to lessen it..

Stock lahat and grips lng pinalitan nia. Before you know it, you'll be taking follow-up shots a lot faster

@ echofox
